What is the MLS data-share and how can it help you serve your client better?
NSDCAR leadership recognizes that the consumer frequently has access to more information than any Broker or agent can access through their local MLS. The Board of Directors has been focused on improving this situation by helping members gain access to more listing data and better MLS tools through the California Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS.)
Since last year, NSDCAR’s MLS subscribers have been able to search for CRMLS (California Regional Multiple Listing Service) residential listings within the Paragon MLS system directly and CRMLS subscribers have been able to search for Sandicor residential listings within their CRMLS Matrix system. This functionality allows agents who are part of each MLS to list and represent buyers in both areas. This data-share eliminates the need for many subscribers to join multiple MLS’s. NSDCAR MLS subscribers are also able to set up and save custom residential searches in Paragon in areas traditionally served by CRMLS.
When agents list property in the traditional CRMLS footprint in areas all over California, there is no longer a need to join CRMLS through another association. NSDCAR agents who list property in Dana Point or Temecula for example can list it directly inside of our Paragon System and the listings will be exposed to CRMLS agents and brokers and to consumers throughout California.
This type of data-share is much better for our members and their clients. Before May of 2017, CRMLS listings did not appear in searches inside or outside of San Diego County. Buyers could find these listings using online portals, but our members did not see these same listings in their searches. Today our members see both CRMLS and Sandicor residential listings directly inside of their Paragon searches, the Client Connect tool, Home Snap Pro, and IDX sites. This technology improves the information that our members can share with their clients.
NSDCAR’s Board is committed to getting our members the very best data. This data-share is just one step to empowering our members.
